The initial plan was that instead of collecting items, the player would collect spells, this way the game would be more like a deck building roguelike kind of game. But because I started this jam late and I didn't have much time, I did the items because it was the fastest option. Thanks for your nice feedback, and in the future, if I continue this game, I will probably do that first idea of a deck building 2d topdown.

Nice game! I like the powerups but I think including some more variety (like castable spells) would level this game up. Maybe in a future update?
